yesternow
now i want to move ahead
to try to make a different bed
but i lie upon the bed i made
that prudence and foresight forbade
yet i not heeding went my way
and chose my path toward today
yesterday reminding me
of decisions made i cannot flee
tomorrow's slate already filled
with tears shed for the milk i spilled
waters under bridges flowed
now fall as rain upon my road
tomorrow yet another chance
another leaf a different dance
but tomorrow never comes somehow
i'm stuck here in the yesternow
